readme.cc – The Virtual Library (phase 2)

Readme.cc went online in 2005 and has since expanded throughout Europe. Step by step, it is becoming a significant and multi-faceted European literary space.
Readme.cc is a virtual meeting place for communication about books. It is special because readers introduce themselves and communicate about books of their choice through photographs as well as through comments that are stored and accessible in online bookshelves. The inspiration to create Readme.cc developed out of the desire to mediate between traditional literary culture and the community on the web.
